MARGAO: Bardez Taluka Chess Association (BTCA), affiliated to Goa Chess Association had its 2nd annual general body meeting at Saraswat Vidhylaya Education Society, Khorlim Mapusa, recently.
President Vishwas Pilankar informed that Goa Chess Association will host National Women’s premier championship at Mapusa Peddem in September.
He further requested the members to help out and make the event a grand success.
Secretary Suhas Asnodkar proposed the vote of thanks while Treasurer Sachin Arolkar read the Audited accounts and Annual report for the year 2013-14.
Advocate Shailesh Vengurlekar, Mapusa and Anil Patil, Assonora and Doctor Sushant Dhulapkar, Mapusa were inducted as members of the association.
The association also decided to hold Taluka and State level tournament as well as chess training for beginners.
