VALPOI: Byron Dias and Shubham Naik won the 2nd edition of The Jeep Trail organised by Rebel 4×4 and FlashEye PR, in their respective categories, at Faria Farms, Valpoi recently.
While Byron Dias emerged victorious in the petrol category, Shubham was outstanding in the diesel category.
Delano DaCosta secured the second spot and Sam Rodrigues had to settle for the third place in the petrol category.
In the diesel category, Satish Sawad and Steven Fernandes finished second and third respectively. The fastest to complete the trail were adjudged as the winners. Bandekar bagged the showmaker award.
The Jeep Trail gave the platform for the energetic and driving enthusiasts giving them a unique experience across all terrains –from splashes to climbs
Speaking during the valedictory function, Rally Director Sandeep Mayekar said, “we are improving are standards every year and this year it was even better. The teams showed great determination and eager in finishing their tasks and I congratulate the winners and runners-up.”
Earlier, the convoy was flagged off at 9.30 a.m. There were obstacles, water crossing, rock climbing, articulations and slush along the way.
Praveen Shenoy, director Rebel 4×4 and Vailanka D’Cruz, director FlashEye PR gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of The Jeep Trail officials Aaron Baptista, Darrel Pires, Dickson Pires, Sai Satardekar, Amay Damsekar, Siddarth Joshi and Amay Damsekar and Jade Fernandes.
