MAJORDA: CAC Cansaulim pipped Navelim 2-0 in the opening match of 21st Fr Basil Andrade inter village football tournament, at Musson ground, Majorda.
CAC Cansaulim took the lead in the sixth minute through Agnelo D’Souza which gave no chance to Navelim goalkeeper Selvin Gomes.
In the 23rd minute, Arrun Fernandes was brought down by Navelim defender in the penalty area and referee Shaikh Abu did not hesitate to give the penalty. Elvino Fernandes took the charge and scored by sending the rival goalkeeper on the other side.
