MAPUSA: CAC Cansaulim registered a solitary goal win over Nerul Sports Club to move into the quarters of the Anjuna Gymkhana Cup organised by Anjuna Gymkhana, at Anjuna Gymkhana ground, on Tuesday.
In a keenly fought encounter, CAC Cansaulim scored the all important goal in the first session of play.
In the 13th minute, Cansaulim’s Angelo D’Souza got hold of a pass from Santan who beat the onrushing rival keeper with a neat placement.
On crossing ends, Nerul went all out in search of the equaliser but CAC Cansaulim’s last line of defence failed to bulge under pressure.
