CALATA-MAJORDA: CAC Cansaulim downed Sporting Club Davorlim 3-1 to enter the quarter-finals of the 30th St Rock Cup organised by St Rock YC, Calata-Majorda, at St Rock’s ground, Calata-Majorda, on Friday.
Both teams started the match on the forefront moves.
In the fifth minute, Sporting Club Davorlim coach Inacio gave extra task for Paxton Gomes and Selito Miranda dictate the forward line and midfield too. Both tried some shots on the target in the 8th and 12th minutes but Cansaulim keeper Alison Soares was equal to the task.
Later in the 14th minute Cansaulim’s Veegan Ferrao took and arrow bound shot but hit the Davorlim cross bar and went out of play.
In the 17th minute, CAC Cansaulim coach Andrew Ferrao gave an extra task to Agnelo D,Souza to play on both wings.
Cansaulim forged ahead in the 19th minute through Agnelo D’Souza snap shot off an assist from Veegan Ferrao.
In the second half, Cansaulim scored two quick goals in the 40th minute and 43rd minutes through Agnelo D’Souza and Ashley Soares respectively to make it 3-0.
Davorlim scored a goal through Paxton Gomes in the 45th minute.
