VARCA: CAC edged past Father Angelo YSC Paroda 2-1 to move into the next round of the Late Roosevelt Alemao Memorial inter-village football tournament organised by Churchill Brothers FC, at Varca SC ground, on Sunday.
CAC through Chadwick opened the account in the 24th minute.
In the second half, Fr Agnel forward was brought down in the goal area which forced the referee to point to the penalty area while Oliviera equalised for Fr Agnel in the 30th minute.
Soon, CAC took control of the game and scored the match-winner through Angelo Sousa to make it 2-1.
