MAPUSA/RAIA: Calangute Association Sports Club registered a well-deserved 3-0 win over Young Boys of Tonca in the GFA’s Professional League match played at Sirsaim ground, on Saturday.
In the 42nd minute, Pratesh Shirodkar set up Jovito Fernandes inside the penalty box, who placed the ball into the far corner of the goal 1-0.
Just before the breather in the 48th minute, Pratesh Shirodkar, who was instrumental in the first goal getting hold off a pass from Pedro Gonsalves scored 2-0.
On crossing over in the 94th minute, substitute Aman Govekar scored the third goal off a defensive error from the defenders, 3-0. Calangute Association SC’s Pratesh Shirodkar received the man-of-the-match award from MC Prasad Surlekar.
At SAG ground, Benaulim, Pax of Nagoa SC defeated Panjim Footballers 4-0. Leading by a goal in the first session, Jesloy Moniz, Velroy Fernandes, Sidney Gauncar and Malappa Bizzargi netted a goal each for Pax of Nagoa SC.
