PANJIM: Calangute Association edged past Cuncolim Union 2-1 in 43rd Custodio memorial football tournament organized by Raia Sporting Club at Raia panchayat ground, Raia, Saturday. All goals came in the first session.
Cuncolim took the lead in the very third minute through Mairon Fernandes but Blake Haldankar equalized in the 20th minute with an easy tap in off an assist by Vijay Parsekar.
Five minutes later, Sarvanand Korgaonkar gave Calangute Association the lead after directly scoring from the flag-kick.
