MAPUSA: Calangute Association Sports Club continued their winning streak as they drubbed Velsao SCC by 4-1 margin in the Goa Professional League played at Duler stadium, here, on Wednesday.
Calangute Association went into the breather with a goal lead scored by Saeesh Halarnkar.

The first 20 minutes of the match was mostly restricted to midfield play.
However as the match progressed Calangute colts came with repeated raids on the rival citadel.
In the 23rd minute a deadly cross by Junior de Johnson Carret was timely blocked for a corner by Velsao’s skipper Ronaldo Pereira.
In the very next minute a rasping 25-yard strike by U-20 Jovito Fernandes zoomed just past the goal post.
Calangute should have taken the lead in the 29th minute where Moises D’Sa found Jovito on the right flank, who in turn sent a low cross inside the goal area, only to find overlapping Saeesh Halarnkar tap the ball skywards.
However two minutes later Saeesh Halarnkar made up for his earlier lapse and scored from a smart move initiated by foreign signing Junior and Jovito, 1-0.
Just a minute at the start of the second session and Calangute Association doubled their lead. Velsao’s keeper Arnab Sharma brought back to back blocks from Joywin Carneiro and Saeesh Halarnkar but once again the ball travelled to Joywin, who scored with a diving header, 2-0.
It did not take long for the Beachside lads to pump in the third goal with Junior Carret breaking the offside trap and scoring in the 49th minute of play, 3-0.
Calangute continued exerting pressure and saw left back Umesh Pujar hammer in the fourth goal with a power packed left footer from inside the penalty box 4-0.
Never say die spirit saw Velsao’s Meuton Fernandes beat the onrushing Calangute’s keeper Presley Mascarenhas and tap the ball home, 4-1.
Moises D’Sa of Calangute Association received the man-of-the-match award from the hands of Digamber Haldankar-ex Salgaocar player and Alex Fernandes- former President of Calangute Association.
