VARCA: Calangute Veterans blanked Real Veterans, Benaulim 2-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 2nd Late Clement Memorial veterans soccer, at Varca SC ground, on Wednesday.
Francis of Benaulim shot wide in the third minute. It was Calangute’s Pascoal who opened the score-line in the fifth minute. Bruno Coutinho doubled the account for Calangute in the 30th minute.
Benaulim strikers tried their best to score but the defence of Calangute prevented the strikers of Benaulim from scoring any goal.
