Calangute move ahead

Calangute Association scored a fluent 4-2 win over Mormugao Port Trust in GFA 1st Division League match at Poriat grounds, Calangute on Saturday.
At the breather Calangute led 2-0. Sherwin Lobo opened the account in the 13th minute, and Shadab Shaikh consolidated the lead in the 29th minute, 2-0.
After crossover striker Cliff Fernandes scored off a pass from medio Shadab 3-0.
MPT went into attack, forward Kunal Rodrigues trapped the ball from midfield and dribbling past rival goalkeeper 1-3.
Forward Vishant Pednekar fired one for MPT in the 75th minute, 2-3. Shadab Shaikh rounded  off the tally in 86th minute 4-2.
Dawson Fernandes and Ashley Rodrigues of MPT were shown the yellow card for rough tackling, while Cliff Fernandes and Myron Araujo of Calangute Association were booked for similar offences.
