ORLIM: Calangute Veterans got the better of Varca Veterans 4-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the St Michael’s Veterans Cup football tournament played at Orlim Church Ground, Orlim.
Calangute Veterans took the lead through Bruno Coutinho at the start of the match.
In the second session Urbano equalised for Varca. Bruno regained the lead to Calangute and Allwyn buttressed the score to make it 3-1.
Later Succoro pulled a goal back for Varca Veterans. However, Allwyn made the issue safe for Calangute Veterans scoring the fourth goal.
