RAIA: Candolim SC defeated Margao Sports Club 2-1 to move into the quarter-finals of 15th St. Anthony Festival Cup inter-village football tournament at Moll ground, Kumsai-Assolda, on Monday.
Aniket Naik gave the lead to Candolim in the 26th minute. It was in the 42nd minute that Sanket Jadhav doubled the lead.
Sarineo Fernandes reduced the margin for Margao in the 48th minute. Richie Vaz and Charles Miranda missed easy scoring chances for Margao.
