rnCandolim Sports Club prevailed over Sao Minguel Taleigao 3-1 to move into the semi-finals of Calangute Panchayat Cup soccer tournament, organised by Calangute Association, at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Thursday.
rnCandolim forged ahead through a header by Francisco Rebello, of a free kick by Venceslav Rebello.  Down by a goal, Taleigao fought back and could have equalised but a Santan’s attempt went wide. 
rnChanging over, Francisco doubled the lead for Candolim in the 53rd minute after receiving a pass from Jolith Simoes. 
rnTaleigao reduced the margin through Haldankar in the 58th minute.   Francisco made the issue safe for Candolim with an effort in the dying minutes.
