CALANGUTE, April 26
Candolim Sports Club prevailed over Navelim Sports Club 6-4 via the tie-breaker after both the teams were involved in a 1-all draw and moved into semi-finals of 2nd Colormax-Imperial rolling trophy all-Goa inter-village football tournament 2009 sponsored by Jaysing L. Rane and organised by United Club of Nerul at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro Stadium, Candolim on Sunday.
Navelim led 1-0 at the lemon break with the goal being scored in the 4th minute through Kevin Peres.
Navelim tried to consolidate the lead but their forwards failed to score.
Candolim were lucky to restore parity in the dying minutes through Stanley.
In the tie-breaker, Shankar, Manuel, Stanley, Manuel Lopes and Elvis converted for Candolim. Benny, Domnic and Jonathan scored for Navelim.
