PANJIM: Candolim Sports Club edged past Clube Sao Miguel De Taleigao 6-4 via tie-breaker to move into the final of Dr Maximo Menezes Memorial Soccer 2015 inter-village tournament organized by Goa Velha Sports Club, at Goa Velha ground, on Monday.
Sao Miguel De Taleigao surged ahead before the lemon break through a strike from Jayendra Kunkoleikar. Candolim Sports Club equalised in the second half with the efforts of Sanket Jotkar.
In the resultant penalty shoot out, Candolim SC were on target through Royston Pereira, Joelif Simoes, Suraj Kathankar, Gauresh Shirodkar and Canute De Souza while for Clube Sao Miguel De Taleigao Levino Pereira, Ramesh Palkar and Joylan Viegas were on target.
