MANDREM: Candolim Sports Club thrashed YSC Colvale, 5-1, advancing to the semi-finals of the 2nd Rosary Cup Mandrem 2024, at the Mandrem village panchayat ground, Mandrem.
In the 14th minute, Sanket Jotkar opened the scoring for Candolim SC, making it 1-0 by halftime. The second half saw an onslaught of goals from Candolim SC: Joel Fernandes in the 36th minute, Nikhil Naik in the 39th minute, Ashwin Noronha in the 44th minute and Aniket Naik in the 47th minute. Daued Maldar scored a consolation goal for YSC Colvale in the 59th minute.
Aniket Naik of Candolim Sports Club was named man-of-the-match and received the award from Kiran Kavlekar, sports incharge of Dunes Sports Club.
