MAPUSA: Candolim SC hammered PVC Parra 7-1 margin to move ahead in the 21st Nerul Village Panchayat Soccer Cup, at Nerul ground, on Tuesday.
Parra broke the deadlock in the 10th minute when Waldron Martins tapped home the ball from inside the danger zone.
Minutes before the half time whistle, Candolim equalized through Sigmond Silveira.
On resumption, Candolim came back as a transformed unit and fired in six goals through Sarvesh Kanekar, Canute D’Souza (2), Rajat Chopdekar (2) and Nihal to round off the score tally to 7-1.
