MAINA: Candolim Veterans edged past Varca Veterans 2-1 to move into the semi-finals organised by JK Caterers, Maina Curtorim, at St Rita’s Church ground, Maina, on Friday.
Varca took the lead through Charles Fernandes in the 12th minute.
After changing ends, Candolim Veterans scored two goals in quick succession through Caitan Xavier and Geneive Fernandes in the 46th and 50th minutes respectively.
