VARCA: Candolim Veterans registered a solitary goal win over Davorlim Veterans to move into the quarter-finals of the 2nd All Goa late Clement Veterans football tournament, organised by Youth of Fatrade, at Varca football ground, on Tuesday.
In the second half, Candolim Veterans took the lead through Shanker Palyekar in the 45th minute with a neat placement giving no chance for the Davorlim Veterans keeper.
Rui Niasso of Davorlim Veterans was adjudged the man-of-the-match award.
