MARGAO: Carmel Sports Club blanked Sports & Welfare Club, Zaino in the second Div league at Navelim ground ground on Saturday
Carmel Sports Club found themselves in the lead in the 4th minute through Royson Colaco. Sandeep Chaudhary exhibited a five star performance for the winners. Sandeep scored his first 24th minute goal and then added four goals subsequently to complete the riot.
At Taleigao ground, Aivao Youth Club registered a narrow win 2-1 over FC Mardol.
With neither side being able to break the deadlock, in the second half, Aivao Youth Club took the lead through Damodar Naik.
Riyaz Tambah opened the score for FC Mardol thereby equalising the score.
Shidhart Naik shot the ball in the net in the 90th minute giving Aivao Youth Club the victory.
At Nagoa ground, Fr.Agnel Youth SC defeated Varca Sports Club 4-1.
Varca Sports Club started the match on an attacking intent where the deadlock was broken through Regan Araujo in the 19th minute.
Stung by the early setback, Fr Agnel Youth SC regrouped themselves and began to put pressure on Varca Sports Club. With this tactic, Fr.Agnel Youth SC equalised through Macloyd D’Costa in the 65 minutes.
Fr Agnel Youth SC scored through regular intervals in the second half through Dolson D’Costa, Salvito Fernandes and Macloyd Dcosta completed his brace for the winners.
