PANJIM: Carmel Sports Club eased past Guirdolim Club 3-0 in the Goa Football Association Second Division League match at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Wednesday.
Carmel SC started the match on attacking note and scored the first in the second minute through Velington Almeida. The striker was in fine form throughout the game as he troubled the Guirdolim team with his constant raids. The winners led 1-0 at the break.

In the second half, Carmel SC were in total control of the game and scored twice more through Velington, who completed his hat-trick.
At Taleigao ground, Portais Sporting Club scored a fluent 4-0 win over FC Mardol. There was no score at the break. In the second half, Clive Monteiro put Portais ahead in the 64th minute.
Vedant doubled the account before Mahadev Naik and Manthan Karmalkar added two more goals in the final quarter to take the final tally to four goals.
