MONTE-HILL-BENAULIM: Carmona Boys got the better of UB40, Colva 4-2 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of the Inter-Benaulim constituency 9-a-side football tournament organised by Pedda Benaulim, at St John the Baptist Church ground, Monte-hill Benaulim, on Monday.
Colva’s Francis Pauskar missed a chance to score in the fourth minute as the latter shot wide.
At the other end, Carmona’s Neil D’Cruz’s grounder hit the Colva side netting in the 28th minute.
Both the teams tried their level best to score the match-winner but their respective strikers fumbled with the chances that were created by their teammates.
Both the teams were left goalless at the end of reuglation time.
In the tie-breaker, Carmona Boys netted through Yuri Ferra, Neil D’Cruz, Christbern Estebeiro and Aron Fernandes while Remedio D’Cruz and Clyde Pacheco scored for UB40 Colva.
