CARMONA: Hosts Carmona SC defeated United Club of Seraulim by a solitary goal to move into the quarter-finals of the Late John Cruz Ferrao Memorial cup football tournament organised by Carmona Sports Club, at Carmona village panchayat ground, on Friday.
The all important goal was scored by Yuri Ferrao in the 12th minute.
United Club of Seraulim’s Zeben Dias was adjudged the man-of-the-match.
The tournament was inaugurated by Vitoria Ferrao grand-daughter of late John Cruz Ferrao in presence of Fr Luis Pinto.
