MAPUSA: CDJ Ribandar got the better off Dunes SC Mandrem 3-1 to advance into the next round of the 7th Reis Magos Inter Village Cup, at Verem grounds, on Tuesday.
Both the teams were locked 1-1 at the break.
Ribandar did not waste any time and in the 1st minute itself shot into the lead when Jayendra Kunkolienkar placed the ball into the Mandrem nets from close range.
Sandesh Sawant equalised for Dunes Mandrem off Sylvester Dias spadework.
Crossing over, Atul Naik once again put Ribandar into the lead when he nodded in Saish Kavlekar’s cross.
Couple of minutes later, Atul Naik scored his brace when on getting the better of the rival defenders he coolly tapped the ball home, 3-1.
