MAPUSA: CDJ Ribandar Sports Club registered a 3-1 win over Saligao Sporting Club to advance into the semi-finals of the Milagres Soccer Cup organised by Milagres Sports Club, at Duler Stadium, here on Monday.
Newton Azavedo opened the account for Ribandar scoring in the 16th minute from outside the penalty box.
Ribandar further consolidated their lead in the 31st minute with Salu Santos netting with a neat placement.
On crossing over, Ribandar carried on their onslaught and pumped in their third goal as Sachin Gawas was at the right place at the right time to tap a cross from Newton to make it 3-0.
Saligao Sporting scored but the goal came in the 63rd minute through the boots of Sachidand Satelkar from inside the penalty box to make it 3-1.
