CDJ Ribandar shock DBO

PANJIM: CDJ Ribandar shocked the high profile Don Bosco Oratory (DBO), coached by a foreign coach, 3-1 in the Ilhas zone GFA under 14 Second Division league match played at Don Bosco High School grounds, Panjim.

PANJIM: CDJ Ribandar shocked the high profile Don Bosco Oratory (DBO), coached by a foreign coach, 3-1 in the Ilhas zone GFA under 14 Second Division league match played at Don Bosco High School grounds, Panjim.  
DBO took the lead in the very second minute of the match through Seby Fernandes.  DBO’s joy was short lived as Jesley Machado equalised for CDJ in the 17th  minute through a mesmerising kick.
CDJ boys increased the lead through Sahil Pantoji  in the 29th minute.  The third goal for CDJ came in the 45th minute through a free kick by Karan Kholkar.
CDJ were good at midfield as well as defence.
Mahendra and Babush were excellent at midfield while Deepam, Deepraj and Russel Vaz played well in the defense and gave no chance for the DBO boys to equalise.
The CDJ Ribandar boys coached by Agnelo Miranda are placed second in the Ilhas zone behind Sao Minguel Club de Taliegao.
In another match, FC Neura crushed C S M Taleigao 8-0. Keil Fernandes scored a hat-trick while Nathan Gomes scored a brace. Sherwin, Myron Peixito & Shelton D’costa scored a goal each.
In the Salcete Zone match  Raia FC down CAC Cansaulim 2-0.
