VARCA: Chadvaddo A steamrolled Novangully B 8-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 2nd late Chelsea Memorial inter-ward football tournament organised by Varca United, at Varca SC ground, on Monday.
In the 3rd minute, Novangully B through Klinnson’s long ranger failed to pop up into Chadvaddo nets .
At the other end, Chadvaddo’s Lenon Fernandes took control of the ball from Jermaias Menezes and dribbled past a couple of rival defenders and shot from close range but his shot hit the Novangully cross bar in the 6th minute.
Chadvaddo A netted the first goal of the match through Elvis’ power-packed shot in the 8th minute. Symington scored a double hatrick in the 10th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 18th and 20th minutes. Elvis scored another goal in the 26th minute to make it 8-0 for Chadvaddo .
