RAIA: Chandor Club defeated Curtorim Gymkhana, 5-3, via the tie-breaker and moved into the semifinal of the Tavares Family Memorial Cup football tournament, organised by Cuncolim Union, at Cuncolim ground, on Tuesday.
Curtorim Gymkhana scored the first goal of the match through Mackson Fernandes in the 7th minutes. Three minutes later Brivon Dias equalised for Chandor.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Chandor Club converted through Akram Yadward. Joaquim Carvalho. Fhezer Gomes and Rizbon Fernandes, and for Curtorim Gymkhana, Vicky Cardozo and Rhay Dias netted.
Fhezer Gomes of Chandor Club received the man-of-the-match trophy at the hands of Viraj Dessai.
