MAPUSA: Chapora YS carried on their winning run as they drubbed Aivao Youth Club 11-0 in GFA’s Second Division play-off at Guirim ground, on Saturday.
It was one-way traffic as Chapora went into the breather with a five- goal cushion. Shario Gomes would have opened the account in the 5th minute, but Aivao goalkeeper Sahil Hadkonkar brought off a smart save from close range.
Pratik Dhargalkar scored in the 6th minute as his stiff grounder slipped from the hands of the Aivao custodian and entered in.
There was no looking back for Chapora as Albino Pereira netted a hat-trick and Sachidanand Satelkar netting the fifth goal.
If not for Aivao goalkeeper Sahil the score sheet would have increased further. He blocked Prati’s, Sachidanand’s, Albino Pereira’s strikes.
On crossing ends, Chapora carried on their onslaught with Sachidanand netting a hat-trick. Arjun Shetgaonkar (2) and Aniket Naik were the other scorers.
