PANJIM: Chetan Kavlekar, general secretary of Amateur Archery Association Goa has been elected as the Vice-President of Archery Association of India in the elections held at New Delhi, recently. Chetan Kavlekar polled 54 votes out of 56 to get duly elected.
Arjun Munda (Jharkhand), Union Minister for Tribal Welfare and Agriculture was elected as the president, while Virendra Sachadeva (Delhi) has been elected as the Secretary General and Dr Joris Paulose Umarcheil (Kerela) as the treasurer of Archery Association of India.
Chetan Kavlekar, State Awardee in Physical Education and Sports, is also the Joint Secretary of Goa Olympic Association, President of Higher Secondary School Physical Education Teachers Association and All-Goa Council of Physical Education.
