CHICALIM : Chicalim Youth Club beat Mangor Sports Club 6-3 in the Goa Football Association Third Division Football League (Mormugao Zone) played here today at the Chicalim Panchayat ground.
Chicalim were leading 3-1 at half-time.
Erasmo Gama put Chicalim in the lead with superlative effort. Alvito Rodrigues buttressed the lead before a slip up Chicalim keeper Sumeen who was not in his elements today allowed Mangor’s Joel D’ Mello to score. Undeterred Sadik playing a fine match and scored to put Chicalim 3-1 up at half time.
In the second half Mangor scored off a penalty through Pritesh while Akash scored for Chicalim. Playmaker Rahul Naik scored in the 78th and 85th minute while. Pritesh Mayenkar scored one more for Mangor.
Earlier with 15 minutes left for full time the players and officials had to leave the pitch due to heavy rains.
