Chinchinim move into finals

Union of Chinchinim Villagers made their way into the final of All Goa Bro Eulalio Vaz inter village football tournament organized by Don Bosco Oratory after they shunted out St Anthony’s Sporting Club, Colva 11-10 sudden death at Don Bosco Oratory Grounds, Fatorda on Sunday . There was no score at full time .
Union of Chinchinim Villagers were the dominant side and created many positives openings in the rival territory and came close in surging ahead but their forwards either shot straight into the rival goalkeeper or shot wide .
At the other ends, St Anthony’s took time to settle down and once they struck the rhythm they called the shots against the rival citadel .
Union of Chinchinim Villagers nearly broke the deadlock but striker Jorax Fernandes rasping try was well blocked by Colva goalkeeper
The second half saw Union of Chinchinim Villagers continue to enjoy the lion share of exchanges with their forwards repeatedly raided the rival citadel but inept shooting by their forwards prevented them from wresting the match itself in the normal time .
With scores remained goalless at eh end of regulation time, tie breaker also failed and the issue was decided on sudden death with Union of Chinchinim Villagers proved to better marksmanship in the sudden death .
Union of Chinchinim Villagers will now meet Verna Sports Club in the final .
