MARGAO: Churchill Brothers SC organised their annual AFC grassroots festival, at Don Bosco college ground, Fatorda, on Saturday.
Around 200 children from age group 6 to 15 years participated in the event.
The children were divided in groups wherein they played short format football. Earlier, the gathering was welcomed by Head of Youth Development Marcelino Pereira and explained that the festival’s main motive is to have fun.
The festival was organised by Marcelino with the help of other youth coaches Sham Gawli and Xavier Colaco in co-ordination with youth administrator Joyfon Goes.
There was also a penalty shootout for the parents of the children.
Chief guest for the event was CEO Churchill Bros Valanka Alemao while the guest of honour was Savio Alemao. Frazer Alemao was also present at the event.
All the participants were awarded with AFC Grassroots certificate by all the dignitaries and club officials.
