RAIA: Churchill Brothers FC outplayed Young Boys of Tonca Sports Club 6-2 in the GFA Professional League football match at SAG ground, Benaulim, on Thursday.
In the first half, Tricjioy Savio Dias, striker of Churchill Bros opened the scoreline with a placement shot in the 11th minute.
It was again Trijoy who netted the second goal with a shot of MacKenzie Fernandes’ deflecting in the 44th minute.
As the match progressed in the second half, Churchill Bros Trijioy shot missed in the 48th minute. Then a tricky move by midfielder Harshad Naik of Young Boys of Tonca SC in the 60th minute scored to make it 1-2 with a placement shot. It was again Trijoy who increased the tally 3-1 in the 62nd minute.
Churchill Bros further inflated the lead through midfielder Jobern Cardozo by netting in the 63 minute, 4-1.
A sudden shot taken by Midfielder Salu Santos of Young Boys of Tonca SC coolly travelled into the Churchill Bros net in the 65th. Churchill Bros netted 5-2 through Pushkar Sanjay Prabhu in the 66th minute.
Young Boys of Tonca SC goalkeeper Sourav Chakraborty was sent out with a red card in the 70th minute. Immediately Jobern of Churchill Bros made it 6-2.
Man-of-the-match award was presented to Trijioy Savio Dias of Churchill Brothers FC by Manoj Kesarkar, panch of Benaulim Village Panchayat.
