PANJIM: Churchill Brothers Sports Club edged past Salcete Football Club in the Goa Football Association’s U-16 League match played at Artificial Turf Fatorda, on Wednesday.

Despite playing an end-to-end football, both teams failed to convert their chances. The first session saw the strikers from both teams failing upfront but the defenders excelling for either of the teams.
Post resumption, Churchill Brothers SC’s Mevan Dias found the breakthrough in the 51st minute to help the Varca side take home full points.
