PANJIM: Churchill Brothers SC hammered Don Bosco Oratory 12-0 in the GFA U-16 football league match, at Don Bosco Oratory ground, Panjim, on Saturday.
The young Red Machines displayed an all round performance with their attacking flair and defensive duties. DBO were left stunned as their opponents were rampant throughout.
Saideep Pomburphekar opened the account in the 16th minute.
Two minutes later, Tahir Sheikh doubled the lead. The onslaught carried on as Arnold Oliveira and Aditya Salgaonkar netted a goal each in a span of five minutes. Mevan Dias made it 5-0 at the break.
Post-resumption, Aditya scored once again in the 50th minute. Clearance found his shot at the back of the net in the 57 minute to make it 7-0. Pushkar made it 8-0 in the 61st minute.
Arnold went on to complete his hat-trick as he netted two more goals in the next ten minutes.
Mevan completed the rout as he scored in 74th and 77th minutes to complete his hat-trick and take the final score to a dozen.
