Churchill confident of win

Defending champions Musli Power Churchill Brothers are determined to maintain their winning momentum when they take on Shillong Lajong Football Club in an ONGC I-League at Nehru stadium, Fatorda on Sunday.
Churchill who became the first team to qualify for the AFC Cup quarter-final berth are confident of continuing their winning streak.
Churchill Brazilian coach Carlos Roberto Pereira Da Silva is keen to exploit the home conditions and play for a win.
While speaking to Herald on the eve of the match, Pereira said: “Lajong are a good side and it’s going to be a very difficult match for us. We will try our best to record a win as we would like to go forward in the league. We are keen to be on top of the standings. However, my boys will not take Lajong lightly.”
Pereira does not face any injury or suspension hassles and is in a position to field the best team available.
Shillong will aim to keep Churchill’s rampaging striker Odafe under control and have devised a plan according to Shillong’s coach Rozario.
Churchill are in the fourth spot with 29 points from 18 encounters while Shillong have 21 points from 19 matches.
Meanwhile, Dempo chief coach Armando Colaco believes his side has a good chance to garner full three points from their away match against East Bengal at Salt lake stadium, Kolkata on Sunday.
“I will definitely like to win but I have told my boys not to think that this match is the decider.” stated Colaco.
