PANJIM: Churchill Brothers and Dempo SC played out a goalless draw in the final round match of the Taca Goa U-20 League at Tilak Maidan, Vasco, on Wednesday.
The draw took the Red Machines to 17 points from seven matches.
Churchill’s winger, Alesh Sawant came close to scoring in the 70th minute but he scuffed his left footed shot.
Ashwin Barreto then attempted a long range shot, however his shot was tipped over the bar by the Dempo goalkeeper.
Churchill Brothers will have to wait for Sesa FC’s match versus Wilfred Leisure in order to confirm their position in the league table.
Churchill Brothers could emerge victorious if Sesa lose their final round match.
