PANJIM: Former Executive Director of Sports Authority of India, Roque Dias asserted that is no one like the Benaulim strongman Churchill Alemao who loves football.
“I have never seen a person who loves sports, specially football and his team “Churchill Brothers”. His dream is to see that India qualifies for the World Cup”, said Dias, Technical Advisor to Churchill Brothers Football team.
Speaking to the media, Dias said, “it was because of Churchill’s commitment to sports and football that he successively not only bought best performing overseas players, coaches and trainer but even nurtured promising juniors by spending a fortune, thereby making available the world’s best strategy for his team”.
Dias pointed out that Churchill’s allegiance to football is so committed that during an ongoing match, he even overrules the coach’s substitution. “His substitution of players is final in some issues”, he said.
Delving into his sporting trait, Dias revealed that on a day prior to a match, Alemao gets tensed and the only topic which is discussed is the strategy to be adopted during the match.
