CHINCHINIM: Navelim Villagers Union downed SC Davorlim 4-3 to move into the quarter-finals of the 21st Our Lady of Merces football tournament organised by Sirlim Sports Club, at Our Lady of Hope Chinchinim church ground, on Friday.
Bot the sides played an attacking brand of football which kept the spectators on the edge of their seats throughout but the highlight of the match was Navelim’s Clinton Niasso who netted four goals in the 4th,17th,53rd and 65th minutes respectively.
Piedade Colaco, Mack Borges and Paxton Gomes netted a goal each in the 37th, 39th and 69th minutes for SC Davorlim.
