VELSAO/ PALE: Cross Boys blanked Young Humorist Club 4-0 in the GFA Second Division football match, played at Velsao ground on Sunday.
Cross Boys had the first chance of the game in the eight minute when Preetesh Mayenkar took control of the ball from Clinton Pacheco but his close range effort was saved by Young Humorist keeper Afash Shah.
Young Humorist striker Shashikant Lamani missed a chance to score in the 20th minute but the lad shot straight at the keeper Reaston Cardozo.
Crossing ends, Clinton Pacheco scored the first goal of the evening in the 52nd minute, when a long free-kick taken by Preetesh Mayenkar created panic inside young Humorist box, which the Young Humorist defence failed clear. Taking advantage of the situation, Clinton Pacheco capitalised with a sublime finish.
Clinton Pacheco scored his brace in the 72nd minute.
Shirish Sarl of Cross boys recorded his name on the score sheet to make it 3-0 in the 77th minute. Within four minutes, Preetesh Mayenkar made it 4-0 for Cross Boys.
