PANJIM: Compassion FC emerged victorious in the final Super League match, securing a commanding 9-0 win against Vintage 73 and claiming the Khelo India Women’s Under-15 Goa title with 12 points. Union of Chinchinim Villagers (UCV) closely followed as runners-up with 9 points.
Compassion FC had previously qualified for the Super League as South Goa league champions, and UCV replicated their success. The defending champions of last year’s Khelo India Women’s Under-17 and GFA’s Women Under-14 once again showcased their dominance in women’s age-group tournaments in Goa.
The league witnessed three top scorers, namely Moncy Vaz of Compassion FC, and Valaina Fernandes and Acira Fernandes, both representing Union of Chinchinim Villagers, each scoring 24 goals.
GFA President Caetano Fernandes was the chief guest for the final league match. GFA executive committee member Laxman Hadfadkar along with Maymol Rocky, Oswald and Astrid of the GFA Women’s Committee were present for the game.
Following Compassion FC and Union of Chinchinim Villager’s lead in the Super League standings were Vintage, Dunes FC, and San Minguel de Taleigao.
