Cortalim Villagers, Ave Maria prevail

PANJIM: Cortalim Villagers came from behind to trounce CRC Chinchinim 7-3 in the Goa Football Association Second Division League U-16 league, at Astro Turf ground, Fatorda.
Cortalim Villagers were down by two goals in the opening fifteen minutes of the game as Prem Buckam’s individual brilliance saw the lad pump in two goals. His first goal came in the fourth minute before he smashed the second in the 15th minute.
Cortalim Villagers pulled a goal back through Ivon De Cunha in the 17th minute before Larson Rebello added the third for CRC Chinchinim. 
Rohan Payeng managed to pull a goal back for Cortalim just before the breather as the winners trailed 2-3 at the break. 
Crossing over, it was all about Cortalim who maneuvered their opponents and gave them no chance and scoring at every opportunity they had. 
Ivon scored three more goals for the winners to take his final goal tally to four goals while Rohan managed to complete his brace. 
Lesly Xavier also got on the score sheet for the winning team.
In another match at Dramapur ground, Ave Maria Athletic and Welfare Club eased past Rumdamol Sports Club 4-2.
The winning team had four different goal scorers — Aman Sahni, Meldern Pereira, Sydroy Gama and Sahil Sahani. For Rumdamol, Glady Mascarenhas and Rahul Bhosle.
