SIRLIM: CRC Chinchinim got the better of Chandor Sport Club 4-1 to move into the semi-finals of the 23rd All Goa Our Lady of Merces 8-a-side inter village tournament, organised by Sirlim Sport Club, at Our Lady of Hope church ground, Chinchinim on Tuesday.
In the seventh minute, Moises D’sa put Chandor in the lead. CRC’s Chadel’s shot missed the target by inches.
In the 19th minute, an inch perfect cross from Jenio was just tapped in by Hayden to level the score 1-1.
Chadel scored CRC’s second goal with powerful left footer. Chinchinim led 2-1at half time.
Post resumption, CRC went on the attack from word go and were successful in the 41st minute through Shario Gomes who made it 3-1.
In the 51st minute, Sunny who was under the Chinchinim goal, made a goal-line save from Victorino’s attempt.
Franky’s rasping drive hit the cross bar in the 59th minute.
Nigel Fernandes with his goal made it safe for CRC Chinchinim in the 62nd minute.
