CHANDOR: CRC Chinchinim got the better of Ambelim Sports Club 5-1 to enter in the last eight stage of the 45th Seamen Trophy inter village football tournament organised by Chandor Sports Club, played at Chandor ground on Sunday.
CRC Chinchinim dominated the entire first session and scored all their five goals. Merileo Ferrao (6th & 29th minute) & Triston Lopes (28th & 31st minute) scored a brace each while Aston Fernandes scored a goal in the 22nd minute for CRC Chinchinim.
The lone goal for Ambelim SC was scored in the second session by Perryson Fernandes. CRC Chinchinim will now meet Navelim Sporting Club in the quarter-finals.
