MAPUSA: Cream Gender Equality scored a huge 5-0 win over rivals Crimson Mutual Consent in the Discover Football Women’s tournament, played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Thursday.
At halftime the winners led 2-0. Cream side did not waste much time and took the lead in the second minute through Barnali Roy.
After some midfield play Barnali netted her brace to give Cream a two goal lead.
Changing ends, Cream Gender Equality were once again all over their rivals and netted in goals at regular intervals through Linda Caldo (2) and Priyanka Sarhar.
In the first match of the evening Ebony Equal Opportunity got better of Silver Self Determination 6-4.
In the next match, Purple Women’s Empowerment registered a fluent 4-0 win over Blue Bodily Integrity.
PWE scored two goals in each session of play.
Joyoti and Ehambara scored in the first session of play from close, while Alisha scored with a neat placement on crossing over.
In the closing stages of the match Jalpana Paul scored from the penalty spot for the fourth goal.
