Cris Boys Curchorem triumph

Cris Boys, Curchorem prevailed over UB-40, Colva 1-0 in the finals of Fr. Gervasio Pinto memorial football tournament organised by Angel Boys, Curchorem at Figueiredo ground, Curchorem. There was no score at the interval.
With a few minutes remaining for the final call, Cris Boys took their golden opportunity when Nelson Mascarenhas converted the corner kick off Mario.
Following individual prizes were awarded: Best goalkeeper Mohammed Shaikh (Holy Cross, Voddlemoll). Best promising player Victor (Cris Boys). First scorer of the final and man-of-the-match Nelson (Cris Boys). Best defender Herculas (UB-40). First goal of the tournament Erron (Mendes Bros). Best disciplined team Mendes Bros.
MLA, Mickky Pacheco was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of guest of honour Shyam Satadekar, MLA, Curchorem constituency, Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council chairperson Alifa Fernandes, CCMC councilors Rocha, Pradeep, Pushkal, Patercia and former GPYC general secretary, Paul Carvalho.
 Earlier, John D’Costa, former president, Guardian Angel SC, Curchorem, welcomed. Danny Carvalho, general secretary, Angel Boys compered and later proposed the vote of thanks.
