Hosts Crown Club, Santa Cruz defeated Shantadurga SC in straight sets 2-0 to move into the semi-finals of the all-Goa Rich Builders volleyball tournament at Crown Club Court, Santa Cruz, on Monday.
After a close first set that went down the wire, Crown Club had an easy going in the second set to triumph 26-24, 25-16. Franco and Max were the star players for Crown while Tolu shined for Shantadurga.
In the other match, Hauxi Bandh gained a walkover over Anthony de Merces as the latter failed to turn up.
