PANJIM: CRSC Navelim edged-past Ave Maria AWC 2-1, in the GFA U-18 League at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Sunday.
Ave Maria’s Aman Sahni gave the lead for his side in the 10th minute.
However, CRSC Navelim restored parity through Anthony Fernandes in the 14th minute. The teams were locked 1-1 at the break. In the second-half, CRSC Navelim broke the deadlock in the injury time through Sunil.
Meanwhile, in another match at Artificial Turf ground, Panchwadi United SC thumped Sporting Club of Davorlim 5-2. Lawren Fernandes scored a hat-trick while Raviraj Charri and Xavier Estibeiro scored a goal each for the winning side. Josley Gomes and Delroy Colaco were on target for the losing side.
